At the end of June Maps101 will be exhibiting at the ISTE event in Denver, Colorado.

ISTE Denver 2010

This year’s theme is “Exploring Excellence” and it seems incredibly appropriate for this product!

Not to be arrogant or complacent – far from it – but with Maps101 we are constantly striving for excellence. Excellence in our content – working with key providers such as National Geographic and Bing Maps to ensure that we provide the best content to the classroom. This year we have more NG Video and Mapping content than ever before covering a variety of topics from world cultures and trends to alternative energy, pollution and natural phenomena. Bing Maps not only provides a great tool with which to explore, but it also includes some inherent features including 3d and satellite views of significant locations.

Our in house developers are working on new and improved features to make life easier for teachers and students who rely upon Maps101 to achieve their own levels of excellence.

As well as  great content additions, we will be demonstrating our new Spanish Language materials at the show. You can see hundreds of Geography in the News articles, as well as country, continent and world maps, a geography glossary and skill builders all translated into Spanish.

This year, Educator and EdTech Evangelist Scott Wilson will be spending some time with the Maps101 team, giving visitors advice and information on getting the best from these great resources in your classroom. There will be full demonstrations and giveaways, so make sure you visit us at booth 2241 to explore!
